Azailia smiled as she held up her arm, having a pokemon perched on top of it. The bat-fox hybrid was named Rainbow, and she was loving the current state of the weather. It was windy, extremely so, and it made her fur tingle with excitement. Flying in this weather unsupervised was dangerous for weaker fliers, and even stronger ones, but she was experienced and strong. Plus, she had the ranch owner if anything went wrong.

Rainbow breathed in deeply and slowly spread her wings before jumping up suddenly and flying in the air. She didn't force herself against the current flow of the wind, but let it guide her as she gracefully stumbled in the wind's hold. It cradled and guided her movements as she sailed among the bright blue sky littered with cloud fragments. This was always a pleasant feeling, just letting go and letting the strong winds take care of her. It made her feel special, made her feel whole.

Just as she was about to enjoy the feelings most, she was suddenly thrust to the side as something bumped into her and knocked her off course. She rolled, her vision going and she closed her eyes a she plummeted towards the ground. She gave off no emotions as she fell, the wind making her fall in a more diagonal direction, towards the grass, dirt, and rocks below. The thing that had made her swerve away from her peace had clung to her chest fur, shivering like a scared child.

Suddenly she was thrust to the side again, this time much more forcefully. She opened her eyes quickly and found that Azailia, her owner, had grabbed her in mid-air. She had jumped to grab her, and made it so that her back would hit the ground instead of Rainbow and whatever was clutching onto her. Rainbow could her the grunt of pain when they contacted the ground, the grass's morning dew leaving its kisses on the poor rancher who crash-landed to save her friend.

Rainbow gave a concerned chirp, and Azailia winced before smiling. "It's a'ight Rainbow. I am just fine." She was acting tough to make Rainbow worry less, and the pokemon knew it from the body language alone. Azailia did this all the time though, so Rainbow decided to worry about it further later. She got up and off her rancher to look at the shivering form clutching tight at her chest fur. It was a peculiar looking Cottonee. Azailia's eyes shimmered a bit before she said, "You are shaking like a leaf, poor thing. And no pun intended, sorry 'bout that." Azailia chuckled at her own terrible joke and made a quick movement to hold the Cottonee in a comfortable but tight hug to her chest. The cotton ball welcomed the contact and even snuggled into it.

"Wonder where this lil' guy came from-" Azailia didn't have to ask the same question twice. Another Cottonee ended up hitting her face as she spoke, and once she had gotten past her surprise she made to hold the second Cottonee along with the first. She held the two and looked to where they came from, seeing a ton more Cottonee blowing past them in the untamed winds. Azailia's eyes widened at the sight. It was simply horrid to think that the once-friendly winds now seemed like an invisible monster to these poor cotton balls! Azailia felt her personal sense of justice swell to a prideful size as it usually did whenever she saw someone in need of some help.

"Rainbow, try to save these poor fluffs while I find a place to shelter them okay?" Azailia saw her nod and then ran off to do exactly as she promised. Rainbow, with a mighty flap of her strong wings, broke into the air and started flying against the strong wind, as difficult as it was. She sputtered as she frantically flapped, trying to spot nearby Cottonee. As she saw a few clinging to a tree nearby, she tried getting closer before stopping and suddenly flapping her wings so frantically that it created a Gust of wind to counter the other. It didn't cancel it out, but it died down to a breeze and the Cottonee seemed thankful.

Azailia then came back, running through the wind and trying to get to the quickly-tiring creatures. She snatched up the Cottonees and nodded to Rainbow before running back to wherever she had found shelter for the poor things. Rainbow was quickly growing exhausted of moving her wings, but she couldn't stop now. She spotted two Cottonee suddenly fly past her, and she closed her wings so she would fly towards the two lightweight pokemon. She grabbed onto one with her arms, and the other feebly hung onto one of her many tails. As they past a tree, she used Bite to sink her fangs into the bark, making sure to keep herself rooted there. However, her jaw tired more quickly than her wings, and she quickly realized she couldn't keep this up for much longer.

Rainbow then was suddenly hugged to a warm chest, and looked up to see Azailia smiling at her. "I think that we should get these two with the others huh Rainbow?" The poor winged pokemon shook and then slumped in her arms, overexerted from all of the excitement. The other two pokemon worriedly hugged themselves to her and Azailia, and Azailia started talking to the three as she calmly walked towards shelter. "Yeah, I found a nearby ranch that was housing the poor critters there. Sure is perty. You all will like it there I am sure. There are already many ranchers working to save y'alls' friends and what not 'kay?" Azailia looked down at the Cottonee to see them passed out by Rainbow's limp form. She smiled bitter-sweetly and hoped that Rainbow would be better after some sleep.
Word Count: 983

Trying to get these done since I already had the ideas for them written out and I would hate to waste my ideas haha
Also I am too lazy to cameo anyone. I should start doing surprise cameos or ask for rancher cameos or something next time...
